It is my pleasure to commend your company Water Tactics on an excellent job done on my water tanks in January 2010.

I live on a property where rainwater is my sole water supply including for drinking.  I contacted you because I noticed the rainwater in our tanks was severely tainted and was concerned about the safety/health of the water for use.  I was expecting that a cleaning of the tanks would require all the water to be pumped out (30,000 litres), but was pleasantly surprised that Water Tactics was able to clean and sanitise the tank retaining the majority of the water.  In addition, I was provided with advice on tank maintenance and water filtration, and you installed an affordable pre-filter to improve water quality.

My family and I are very happy with the results of this exercise!

Now that 12 months has passed since your service to rectify our tank water problem, I feel I should let you know that the service and maintenance you carried out has proved very satisfactory.

I was pleased to note that when you cleaned the two tanks, the full 16,000l tank only lost approx. 3,000l during the cleaning process. The 3,000l tank lost a similar percentage, which incidentally surprised me very pleasantly considering the amount of debris and smell that was expelled via your pump!

Our tanks supply all our toilet and laundry needs. Prior to your service not only had the colour of the water changed, but there was an unpleasant odour affecting all laundry items. Now, 12 months after your service the water quality has remained excellent.

I feel the biggest contributor to the retention of the excellent water quality has been your installation of 3 down pipe filters. Having two large mature flowering trees (Jacaranda and Poinciana) has certainly tested the filters. Both my wife and I find the filters easy to observe and empty when required. Currently our tank water usage constitutes 50% of our household requirement.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for all you help in getting my water tanks up to scratch and in tip top condition!

As you know my house was built by a project home about 3 years ago and part of the DA approval was for a min of 5,000 litre rainwater tanks to be installed to service the toilets and laundry water supply. The tanks were installed by the builders plumbers- who I believe had very little experience in setting up this plumbing system, and did not do a very professional job.

When I contacted you last year is was because the water from the rainwater taps was discoloured and sludgy and staining the toilet bowls. I did some research and realised that for optimal service from the tanks they needed a regular clean and service. You were recommended to my by a plumbing firm and the results have been brilliant.

I thought that we would have to empty the tanks to clean them of the sludge which accumulates from the dust and debris on surface of the house roof. (Even though there were first flush diverters in place.)  To my surprise there was minimal water lost in the cleaning process and maintenance of the first-flush diverters and rain heads. Further to that you have implemented several improvements. 

• Installed a level gauge so that we can see how full the tanks are.
• Improved the overflow pipe system so that the excess water actually flowed away instead of pooling around the tank
• Installed a water filtration system improving the water quality entering the house.

I now have a regular maintenance program in place which your company provides and am very happy with the results.
